The Hitachi DH22PG 5.4-Amp SDS Plus Rotary Hammer is Hitachi’s most compact and lightweight SDS hammer ever. The new DH22PG is ideal for overhead or extended use and fits in the tightest areas. It comes with a powerful 5.4-amp, 620-watt motor which provides exceptional drilling performance in common small diameter holes up to 24-inches per minute in medium-hard concrete with a 3/16-inch bit. This rotary hammer can generate a no-load speed of up to 1,500-RPM with an impact rate of up to 6,200-BPM. The idle strike restrictor prohibits no-load hammering, preventing unnecessary wear on internal components and reducing no-load tri-axial vibration to 1.42 m/s2. With two modes of operation, the DH22PG can also be used in wood and steel drilling or for setting fasteners and screws. This rotary hammer has a 7/8-inch concrete, 1/2-inch steel and 1-inch wood capacity. The injection molded carrying case has ample room for bit and accessory storage. The kit also comes with a depth stopper and side handle. There are 2-modes of operation – drill only and hammer-drilling modes. Compact and lightweight for added operability, use this tool in tight spaces and overhead operations. There’s a quick bit insert for fast bit changes and the slip clutch prevents damage to gears caused by excessive torque. The idle strike restrictor prevents hammering while tool is in no-load operation, prolonging tool life and reducing no-load vibration.
