The Hitachi DH18DL Lithium-Ion Cordless SDS Plus Rotary Hammer is designed for optimal performance when drilling holes for the installation of concrete anchors. The DH18DL weighs less than most competitive models making it perfect for overhead drilling. Using an electro-pneumatic mechanism to produce 1-foot per pound of impact energy and drills up to 105-holes on one charge (1/4-inch x 1-1/4-inch). This rotary hammer can generate no-load speeds from 0 to 750 and 1,500-RPM with impact rates from 0 to 3,100 and 6,200-BPM. A factory set slip clutch protects the user and the gears in the event of a bound bit, while the idle strike restrictor prevents no-load hammering, eliminating unnecessary wear on integral parts. The DH18DL includes two Lithium-Ion batteries, a rapid charger, side handle, depth gauge and injection molded carrying case. The Lithium-Ion batteries run longer, weigh less and have more charges over the life of the battery. Two-Step Speed Switch has a power mode for fast and efficient drilling in larger diameters and a save mode to conserve battery power and prevent bending of small diameter bits. This product has a belt-hook with an integrated LED light and a 5-position hook. The idle strike restrictor prevents no-load hammering, extending tool life. Use the quick bit insert makes for rapid changing of accessories. External brushes makes replacing old carbon brushes easy.
